RUM BUM RACING OFF TO A GOOD START IN NEW JERSEY

MILLVILLE, NJ, 16 July - Despite suffocating heat in Southern New Jersey that saw temperatures soar above 120 degrees on the racetrack, the Rum Bum Racing BMW M3 ran cool as a cucumber to set the second best time of the day in practice to tomorrow's Continental Sports Car Challenge Garden State 250. The No. 13 machine recorded a fast time of 1:30.646 seconds translating to average speed of 89.700 mph over the 2.250 New Jersey Motorsports Park Thunderbolt Circuit.

Season regular driver Matt Plumb, is joined by Nic Longhi for the first time this year. Longhi has taken over the seat for Gianluis Bacardi who has returned to his business degree studies full time.

"We had a solid day, working through our program and the results sheet shows we are on the right track," said Plumb. "Nic has settled in well and is matching my times, so I believe that we are in a great position for qualifying tomorrow morning."

Confident that that the Rum Bum BMW is well sorted for qualifying, the entire crew called it a day soon after the session had concluded to get back to the hotel for a chance to cool down and re-hydrate in preparation for a long day tomorrow that will see the Continental Challenge Series qualify and race on the same day.
