Grand American Daytona Prototype driver Darren Law will be competing in the Grand Am Cup street stock endurance event to be held September 12-14, at Mosport International Raceway outside Bowmanville, Ontario, Canada. Law will be piloting the G & W Motorsports prepared Porsche GT3 Cup car in the GS 1 class for the three-hour event, and will share the seat with Chris Dyson.
Law and Dyson have teamed up in the same car several times this year, and have shown competitive speed on several occasions. Says Law of his teammate, "Chris really has gotten up to speed quickly in this car and his comfort level has really increased as well. We have definitely been in the hunt in previous Cup races, and I think we have a solid chance this next weekend."
Law, who has had previous success at the daunting and demanding 10-turn 2.5 mile Mosport racetrack, looks forward to returning. "I've always enjoyed Mosport," says Darren, "especially turn 2 which requires a unique level of skill and commitment to get through there quickly. I've raced Porsches here in the past, and the track pretty much suits their driving requirements. This should be fun!"
