NO. 10 PONTIAC RILEY AGREES TO TWO-YEAR EXTENSION WITH SUNTRUST BANK

The defending Daytona Prototype champion No. 10 SunTrust Pontiac Riley announced a two-year extension with SunTrust Bank as its title sponsor, with potential agreements beyond 2008. Winning five races in 2005--including the season-opening Rolex 24 At Daytona--co-drivers Wayne Taylor and Max Angelelli will again pilot the machine in 2006.

"The car, the team and the drivers have exceeded all of our expectations," said Tom Kuntz, Chief Executive Officer of SunTrust Bank, Florida. "We believe that these drivers give us the best chance at winning races and championships, and the entire team represents the bank with the utmost class and professionalism. We look forward to continuing this relationship."

"SunTrust has truly made all of our dreams come true," said Taylor, who is also the car's owner. "When I got back into racing, I always told myself that I wanted to win the Rolex 24 At Daytona and a championship in this series. SunTrust made that possible this year, both in the same season."

SYNERGY RACING SIGNS FRISSELLE BROTHERS TO CO-DRIVE RX.COM DAYTONA PROTOTYPE IN 2006

While the team announced that it was switching to Porsche power for its No. 8 Rx.com/Synergy Racing Doran in October, the team confirmed on Thursday that Burt and Brian Frisselle will once again co-drive the car for the 2006 Rolex Series season.

"I've been extremely pleased with both Burt and Brian since the day we met," said Cole Scrogham, co-owner of Synergy Racing. "From their demeanor in the paddock to their racing potential, having these two young men in the car is great for us."

"Everyone at Synergy Racing and Rx.com has been great to work with this year," said Burt. "We're excited to return next season and race the new Porsche-powered machine."

The duo combined for three top-10 finishes in 2005, with a best result of seventh in the EMCO Gears Classic at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in August. Burt led a total of 27 laps--nine at Homestead-Miami Speedway and 18 at California Speedway--while Brian led three laps in the CompUSA 200 at The Glen.

Following the announcement of a brand-new Pontiac GTO for competition in the Grand-Am Cup Series in 2006, Spirit of Daytona Racing officially unveiled the car Thursday at the Crane Cams booth at the PRI trade show. Crane Cams will be the official sponsor of the car.
