COLUMBIA, SC -- (September 28, 2004) --Andy Brumbaugh has signed with Team Lexus to compete in the Sport Touring class of the Grand Am Cup at the beautiful Virginia International Raceway October 1-2. This marks Brumbaugh's fourth consecutive start in the Grand Am Cup with Team Lexus after competing at Mt. Tremblant in a GS class car. Brumbaugh will drive alongside team and series veteran Andy Lally.

"I am delighted to have the opportunity to continue with Team Lexus," said Brumbaugh. "I have been to VIR a number of times and thrive on the challenge of this long and difficult track. I set a class record at VIR so it obviously suits me. I have to thank Chuck Goldsborough and Team Lexus for giving me this opportunity. I am really looking forward to racing the Lexus again. It is such a sweet car to drive. I am confident that Andy Lally and I will be very much on the pace this weekend."

"I believe that Andy Brumbaugh and Andy Lally make for a very strong driver pairing. They are both fast, smart, technical and professional," said Team Manager Chuck Goldsborough. "They had some tough luck at Homestead-Miami but will turn it around for a strong finish to the season starting at VIR."

Away from Grand Am competition Andy is a student at the University of South Carolina as well as an active driver coach and instructor. He also competes in vintage racing with Amalfi Racing.
