Burrows Sixth on VIR Grid for KONI Closer

Alton, VA (4 October, 2008)--Adam Burrows will start Saturday's Bosch Engineering Six Hour at Virginia International Raceway from sixth on the 39-car ST class grid in the No. 76 Fischer Skis Compass360 Racing Acura TSX after posting a fast lap time of 2:10.584-seconds on the 3.27-mile long course.

The fast lap time was nearly a full second quicker than the machine had gone thus far through the race weekend as the 2007 KONI Challenge Champions look to close the 2008 season out on a strong note.

Burrows will start the race from behind the wheel before turning the car over to Trevor Hopwood, who will man the controls for the middle stages of the race before turning the Acura back over to Burrows to close out the race season in the dark Virginia night. The duo put that same strategy to good use in the 2007 running of the Bosch 6-Hour, as Burrows closed the final laps out with a storming run to third at the checkered flag.

"The car was just great in qualifying, and we're pretty happy about how we are looking for the race this afternoon," said Burrows. "We just need to set our own pace for the first few hours and then turn things up at the end. Some of the guys will just take off at the start, but so long as we are close enough to keep an eye on the leaders, we will just try to save as much of the car as we can. Hopefully we can end up back up on the podium here at VIR tonight."
