RUM BUM RACING READY TO HARVEST POINTS IN SONOMA!

Hawthorne, California, August 19 - The upcoming Infineon race for Daytona Prototypes only is already the twelfth race of the season for Rum Bum Racing team drivers Gene Sigal and Matt Plumb. The Infineon race is the second race of the season in California and like Laguna Seca; it is considered a home race for Rum Bum Racing.

There are only three races to go before the end of the 2008 Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series including the Armed Forces 250 next Saturday, the Supercar Life 250 next week at the brand new New Jersey Motorsports Park in New Jersey and the Sunchaser 1000 in a month in Utah.

Rum Bum Racing is now ranked eleventh in the team point standings and since the 2008 Grand-Am Rolex Series season is one of the most competitive ever, the team absolutely needs three good results in the next three races to assure a top ten position.

The team has what it takes to finish in the top ten and the #7 Rumbum.com / Big Vision Miami / Caramba Tequila Dinan BMW Riley should be competitive on the 2.52-mile, 12-turn Infineon raceway course. Sigal and Plumb never tested a DP car there but the track is not new to them since they both raced other type of cars at Infineon before.

"I am excited to go back racing in California" announced Gene Sigal, Rum Bum Racing team owner and co-driver. "I like Infineon raceway and I am confident we are going to do well there. The crew did a good job to prepare the car and I am anxious to start. I know Matt Plumb knows the track too, and even if he never tested a DP there, he will learn fast. We have to come back to the top ten in the point standings after that race. We are only two points behind the tenth place now. Hopefully if we stay focused, don't make mistakes and have a good race, we should be in good shape after the race" added Sigal.
