Sigalsport adds second BMW for 2006

SIGALSPORT BMW TEAM TO CAMPAIGN TWO BMW M3s IN 2006

Los Angeles, California (November 6, 2005) -- Sigalsport BMW Team will campaign two BMW M3s in the GT class of the 2006 Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series.

The team will receive assistance from PTG BMW for engine rebuilds and the technical support needed to run the cars competitively throughout the season.

After running the Porsche GT3 Cup for two seasons and exploring entering the Daytona Prototypes competition, Sigalsport will switch to the winning BMW M3 cars that have won the 2004 Rolex Series Championship and many races since the beginning of their presence in the series.

The Sigalsport BMW Team will race two cars with two drivers in each car throughout the season and four drivers per car at the 2006 Rolex 24 at Daytona. Gene Sigal and Matt Alhadeff will be part of the four-drivers' lineup for the 2006 season. New drivers are currently being evaluated and will be recruited after a test to be conducted in California that will help to select the lineup later this month.

The 13-race 2006 Rolex Sports Car Series will be the third consecutive season for the team created in early 2004 by owner and driver Gene Sigal. Sigalsport BMW Team's goal for 2006 will be to run in front and score as many podium finishes as possible knowing that the battle in the GT class will be the most competitive since the inception of that series.

"Sigalsport has explored many opportunities on what class we are going to participate in next year. We were thinking about jumping up to the DP class but after reviewing all of the options that we had on the table it was very apparent that staying in the GT class in a BMW that has shown a lot of promise and wins throughout the season, was a much better choice for us to get results next year" stated Sigal. "The reason that we have switched from Porsche to BMW is because we felt that we needed equipment that could possibly get us closer to the front. Porsche was a great opportunity for us, this is the car we started with, it was a great package but apparently the BMW has had more success in the Grand American series and hopefully we can continue with it. Our goal for next year is to run two full time competitive cars in the GT class, and basically get us up to speed as soon as possible" announced a very motivated Sigal.

About Sigalsport BMW Team: After only 23 starts in the Rolex Series, Sigalsport's achievements include 14 top ten finishes, one SGS class win and three podium finishes. Gene Sigal and Matt Alhadeff will continue to race for the team that will still be based in its Los Angeles, California workshop.
