DAVY JONES READY TO GET BACK IN THE SADDLE

Tooele, Utah - September 8th, 2010 - Davy Jones will return to GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series competition this weekend and will make his first Daytona Prototype start of the year when he takes the green flag for the Utah 250 at Miller Motorsports Park.

Jones will be behind the wheel of Dyson Racing's #16 Texas Heart Institute Roush-Yates Ford powered Lola and will share the driving duties with John McCutchen II.

"I'm very happy to be back and to have the support of Dyson Racing and Godstone Ranch Motorsports," said Jones. "We all have a steep learning curve but we are relaying on our years of race experience to adapt quickly. I am looking forward to learning the unknown, I'm ready to put my mind to work. We have to quickly learn about our new car, about what it is going to take to improve each session and about racing with these guys that have been competing all year. A long time has passed since I have been in this situation and I'm looking forward to getting back into the zone. We are racing for a great cause with the Texas Heart Institute and together we are all winners."

Jones had the chance to drive the #16 "Heart" car for the first time last week at a private test at the Monticello Motor Club in preparation for this weekend's event. "It's always great to get back in a race car, it all just comes back to you," commented Jones. "Getting into a rhythm, becoming one with the car and working with the team brings me right back to the Bud Light/TWR days. I truly am looking forward to our upcoming race, getting to work with Dyson racing and seeing how the weekend unfolds with our competition."

For the Chicago native, competing with Dyson Racing brings back memories and reunites him with familiar faces. "For many years I remember competing against the #16 car and they were always very fast and competitive, everybody knew that it was a top operation," said Jones. "So now I get to actually drive that car and I can see from the inside why this team has had so much success. I also have the chance to work with our engineer Vince Ward again; he and I worked together in 1996 and finished second at the Indy 500."

Jones is one of the most celebrated drivers in American Sports Car history, he has competed with unprecedented success in virtually every form of motorsports including Grand Am, Le Mans Series, IndyCar, Nascar, IMSA-GTP, IROC and Formula 3. The Chicago native is also the last American driver to achieve an overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1996, the same year he narrowly missed winning the Indy 500 by the slimmest of margins.

Jones, McCutchen and Godstone Ranch Motorsports will be racing in benefit of the Texas Heart Institute and are supported by Monavie, Edge Eyewear, Haley-Greer, Johnson Controls, Baker Triangle, Milam & Company, Humphrey Company, Hunt Construction Group, Fisk Electric and Sherwin Williams.
