Philadelphia native and DILYSI racing founder John Tancredi will take the wheel for the team's inaugural race in the Grand-Am Sport Car Series' "Crown Royal 200" at Watkins Glen International, Aug.7. This two hour sprint race will utilize the Short Course [no boot] and be the opening race for the NASCAR Weekend. Since it will be presented in front of a NASCAR crowd with an even larger TV audience, it will be the perfect opportunity for the first major public exposure for John Tancredi and DILYSI racing.

Based out of New Jersey Motorsports Park, DILYSI racing is the embodiment of the team's motto and the meaning of the acronym. When asked what DILYSI means, John chuckled "To me, it is about living life to the fullest. Taking charge and making things happen, not waiting for them to happen. It is about having the ultimate edge...bringing life into a situation and everything around you. Finding your path that leads you to your goals. All in, 100 percent, til you get the job done! It is not about what you are doing but how you are doing it. DILYSI is a mindset, a lifestyle, a way of taking charge of your life and bringing it..."

DILYSI racing will be teaming up with Farnbacher Loles Racing and running under the banner of the Children's Tumor Foundation [CTF]. FLR, the current team points leader in the GT category of the Rolex series, will be providing car prep, crew, and race support and strategy. CTF is a nonprofit whose mission is eradication of neurofibromatosis (NF). Tancredi will pilot the DILYSI racing #84 Porsche GT3 Cup car in support of the Racing4Research effort of the CTF. Tancredi will be co-driving with Jim Pace, a seasoned racer and instructor. The two have been working together for last four months as Tancredi has been preparing himself for his new career as a team owner and driver. His amazingly rapid entry into the sport and licensing process has been chronicled on the team's blog, www.DILYSIracing.com.

Tancredi and Pace should prove to be a potent combination in the race. A top-10 finish would be a great accomplishment for any first time entry. Since the DILYSI attitude runs deep in Tancredi, he may do even better. The Crown Royal 200 will be televised at 8:00 p.m. Friday Aug.7 on Speed.

DILYSI racing is based out of New Jersey Motorsports Park and supports the efforts of a GT3 Porsche in the Grand-Am series. DILYSI offers their unique line of branded apparel for those who identify with the "Drive It Like You Stole It" attitude and how it shows up in their lives. Join the online community at www.DILYSIracing.com. DILYSI racing is developing a fleet of Spec Miata racecars for an "Arrive and Drive" and race series to be held on the two tracks at NJMP.
