TRG to Start from Sixth Row in GT at The Glen

Watkins Glen, NY, (Aug. 6, 2010) - TRG's Steve Bertheau will start the No. 66 Sargent & Lundy/TRG/Porsche from the sixth row in GT for tomorrow's running of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series Crown Royal 200 at Watkins Glen International Raceway.

Bertheau is teamed with Andy Lally, who with Spencer Pumpelly and Bob Doyle won the June Six Hour race at The Glen. Bertheau's qualifying time will have him start from the sixth row for tomorrow's two-hour race which will take the green flag at 6:00 p.m. ET. The pair are enjoying near perfect weather conditions with temperatures in the 70's.

"I learned a lot in practice this morning," Bertheau said. "We had a few issues with the car that limited some of our run time in the first session, but the TRG guys had it running great for this afternoon. Running the shorter track, with Andy and Kevin's help, I was able to pick up a lot of time compared to this morning. My past experience with a GS Porsche is a lot different than running through the esses in a Rolex GT car, it is a lot faster."

New York native Lally has a full weekend of racing. Aside from driving in the Rolex race he is also piloting the No. 71 Adobe Road/TRG Motorsports Chevy in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series on Sunday.

"The Rolex car is really running great," Lally said. "Steve is doing a great job. His times have steadily improved during the day. He has gotten up to speed really quick. I am looking forward to tomorrow. We have a short race, two-hours, that is going to make it a flat-out sprint. The temperatures in the evening will be cool and that should help us. We have a good balance on the car for the race and we will try to take it to the front tomorrow night."

Kevin Buckler, team owner, has his team poised to sweep the Watkins Glen Rolex races.

"We have to be one of the favorites tomorrow in GT as we won here in June," Buckler said. "Steve is doing a great job and making tremendous gains. I am proud of how he improved his times from practice to qualifying and is totally on track for our Daytona adventure next year. Andy has done a great job getting the set-up just right and everything looks good for a nice run tomorrow night. The weather is on our side and we will need to put everything together to duplicate our win from the Six Hour."
