AGT: Mostly Motorsports to compete in new series

Mostly Motorsports Set To Compete in AGT

Wilton, CT- Mostly Motorsports announced their intentions to compete in the American GT Challenge series for 2004. Team owner and driver Chris Thompson will enter his number 7 Mostly Motorsports Auto Service Corvette in the series.

Thompson is a 21 year veteran of sedan style road racing. Chris entered his first race in 1981 at the IMSA GT Daytona 250 with Don Yenko as his co-driver. Throughout the years Chris has been competitive in several race cars in various classes.

Chris, his team and their efforts have seen numerous top five finishes, sprinkled with podium results. The team has achieved success in such classes as Motorola Cup, Grand-Am AGT, GTS, Grand-Am SGS and others. Paired with Doug Mills the team earned the 2000 Grand-Am AGT Championship.

Mostly Motorsports looks forward to the competition of the AGT. The team will participate in the inaugural event at South Carolina Motorsports on April 11th.

The American GT Challenge will open its inaugural season at South Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, South Carolina April 10 through 11th. The American GT Challenge uses purpose built tube frame chassis cars, power by a V-8 & V-6 engine, with composite bodies, replicating series produced American touring or grand touring cars competing exclusively on Goodyear Racing Tires.
