FLAT OUT TO THE FLAG
Time flies when you're having fun and for the CRS British GT team this first season has gone in a flash; and all too soon the teams are heading to Donington Park for the season finale. Both championships are already wrapped up and as the championship-winning team, CRS will be out to finish the year with a victory in what is shaping up to be a classic race where everyone will be flat out all the way to the flag.
All of the CRS driver line-ups have a mathematical chance of taking the runner-up spot in the driver's championship - although Michael Cullen will remain five points ahead of Paddy Shovlin as Paddy missed the Snetterton event - so the biggest battle could be between the three red, white and blue Ferraris.
The season finale is a two-hour race, like the one won by James Sutton and Michael Meadows at Silverstone, and it takes place when the lights go green this Sunday at 1315hrs.
CR Scuderia Ferrari no.14: James Sutton & Michael Meadows
JAMES SUTTON: "I've always gone well at Donington, even though it's not one of my favourite circuits. The Ferrari will be good there; we always believed that Donington and Silverstone would be our two best tracks and it worked out well at Silverstone."
CR Scuderia Ferrari no.15: Michael Cullen & Paddy Shovlin
MICHAEL CULLEN: "Paddy and I haven't even sat in a racing car since Silverstone as we have been so busy with work commitments so we're looking forward to Donington a great deal. We can't make the test on Thursday but that's okay, we'll just dive straight in on Saturday morning. We've both raced at Donington before and we love the track so we'll be doing everything we can to get the runner-up spot in the driver's championship."
CR Scuderia Ferrari no.16: Luke Hines & Jeremy Metcalfe
LUKE HINES: "Donington is one of my favourite circuits so this should be a good weekend for us. It will be a bit of a culture shock, adjusting from the LMP1 car I raced last weekend, but I'm excited about getting back out there and finishing off the British GT season in style, and hopefully as runner up in the championship."
