After an intense Sepang Three hour, the #99 Aston Martin of, Darryl O’Young and Daniel Lloyd, claimed a hard fought third place, which moved, O’Young, into the third spot in the drivers’ championship. The first three places on the leaderboard are now separated by only four points, making the race in Shanghai crucial to, O’Young’s, championship aspirations.

Newcomer, Lloyd, enjoyed a successful GT Asia debut in Sepang, setting the fastest time in qualifying, which helped the #99 pair claim pole position. Lloyd will be hoping to repeat the level of performance that he showed in the previous round, aiming once more to take pole position in the second qualifying session. The #99 crew are firmly focused on fighting for victory in both races to ensure that Craft-Bamboo Racing can take the lead in the driver’s championship.

Richard Lyons, Driver: "Coming to the final two race weekends we now have to change our tactics a little. We'll be only looking for podium finishes from this point onwards and Shanghai proved to suit our package last year. Maximum attack until the season end!!"

Frank Yu, Driver: “I scored a podium in both races with Richard last year in Shanghai, so we will be looking to replicate this success once again. Both of us have good knowledge of the track and will be applying this in our qualifying sessions. If we can start up the front we have a good chance at coming away with some good results.”

Darryl O’Young, Driver: "We're heading into the final two rounds of the season and every single point is going to count. We only trail the championship lead by four points and I am confident we can claw back into the lead of the series. It will require team work and focus, but Craft-Bamboo Racing are a dedicated bunch and I have full confidence in our team to give it their all."

Daniel Lloyd, Driver: “Really looking forward to the Shanghai round next weekend, I will go into this round a lot more relaxed now that I know the team and Darryl. Sepang went really well but we are now four points behind, so there is some hard work to do for the remaining rounds of the season. It is another new circuit for me but I have been putting in a lot of effort to get prepared. I think we will be strong again, we need to keep out of trouble and focus on the championship.”

Richard Coleman, CEO of Craft-Bamboo Racing: “The aim is for Craft-Bamboo Racing to take the lead in the drivers’ championship and with it being the penultimate round of the championship it will be very important to remain consistent and collect as many points as possible. The team has done an excellent job so far this season and they are focused on taking home some top results this weekend.”
