In the Pro race, Schothorst made a brilliant getaway from pole position, with ex-Formula 1 driver Robert Kubica challenging Steijn Schothorst for second.

After a failed attempt at La Source, Kubica tried another move on the inside at Eau Rouge, only for Schothorst to defend the place by running wide at Radillion.

Thereafter, the Dutchman disappeared into the distance while Kubica started falling on the gearbox of Kevin Korjus, who duly passed him at Les Combes.

At the front, Pieter Schothorst remained unchallenged to victory, with Steijn finishing alongside on the podium in second.

Korjus and Kubica finished third and fourth, with Markus Palttala right on the heels of the duo in fifth.

Schiller clinches title with Am win

In the Am sprint race, Marc VDS driver Schiller took a lights-to-flag win to seal the championship with one round to spare.

Saturday's endurance winner Frederik Blomstedt looked set to finish second until he stopped on track with two laps to go.

While the #2 R-Ace GP driver managed to get going again, the 20-seconds or so he lost dropped him down to fifth place in the final classification.

Blomstedt’s troubles promoted Jelle Beelen and Miguel Ramos up to second and third places on the podium. The two drivers were indulged in a race-long battle from which the V8 Racing driver eventually emerged on top.

Fran Rueda finished fourth while Saturday’s podium finisher Christophe Hamon was classified sixth.
