Single-seater convert Akhil Rabindra will contest the GT4 European series in 2018, it has been announced.
Rabindra will race a BMW M4 GT4 for French outfit 3Y Technologies, teaming up with Le Mans participant Stephane Lemeret.
It will be his second season in sportscar racing, having competed in the British GT last year as a factory McLaren GT driver for Garage 59.
Rabindra and Lemeret are part of a three-car crew for 3Y Technologies, which will also field Luiz Floss, Jamie Vandenbalck, Sylvain Debs and Gwenael Delomier
The new GT4 European Series season, which is on the support bill for Blancpain Sprint Cup, will begin next weekend at former Belgian Formula 1 venue, Zolder.
The championship will conclude at Germany’s iconic Nurburgring circuit on September 14-16, after races in Brands Hatch (UK), Misano (Italy), Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) and Hungaroring (Hungary).
