Ahead of the exciting challenge on the legendary Ardennes track, I.S.R. racing is pleased to announce the agreement with French star Lapierre. Nico will defend team's colours in this Belgian round sharing the wheel of the number 74 Audi R8 LMS with Philippe Giauque (CH), Henry Hassid (FRA) and Franck Perera (FRA).

Class 1984, Lapierre just competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, where he secured the second win in a row in LMP2 this year. He rounded up a bold performance at the wheel of the Signatec Alpine A460 with a great victory. Lapierre has been Toyota Racing works driver from 2012 to 2014, claiming an historic third step of the podium on the TS040 Hybrid at the 2014 edition of the Le Mans race.

As the most part of his colleagues, Lapierre started his career early on karts shining since the beginning before moving to Formula Renault first and to Formula 3, where he was third in the 2004 Euroseries. These results allowed him to defend the French national colours in the debut season of the A1 Grand Prix (2005-2006), occasion in which he was crowned champion alongside Alexandre Premat at the end of a stunning season. He moved to endurance racing in 2009, where he obtained prestigious results not only at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but was also third in the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship with Toyota Racing.

Igor Salaquarda (I.S.R. racing, Team Principal): "We are very pleased to welcome a great professional driver like Nicolas to our team: his experience, speed and talent will be very important in a very challenging race like the 24 Hours of Spa. His CV does not need any introduction and the victory he scored in Le Mans just confirms his value in endurance races. The whole team is thrilled about working with him and I believe that he, Philippe, Henry and Franck will be one of the most interesting PRO-Am lineups".
