Berlin/Spa-Francorchamps (rol/ot) Top Qualifying, unlucky at the race: The Total 24 hour race in the schedule of the Blancpain Endurance Series Spa-Francorchamps (Belgium) ended early after about two and a half hours for the German sports car pilot Stefan Mücke.

The Aston Martin works driver from Berlin, who shared the cockpit of the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 at the Pro-Am Cup for the Team Beechdean AMR with the British Andrew Howard, Jonathan Adam and Daniel Lloyd, secured the overall tenth position at the qualifying as the best Aston Martin car as well as third in this class.

The 32 year old drove the first part of the race that was marked by a lot of crashes and safety car phases. „I have been on overall position seven and second of our class after a real good first stint“, the Berlin said. At the first pit stop the team lost 46 seconds due to a problem with the hood. „But that hasn’t been as bad as what happened after the drivers change. Our Gentleman driver got involved in a crash after a safety car phase, but fortunately didn’t get hurt badly. But the car was out of the picture“, Stefan Mücke explained.

The next races for the Berlin are scheduled from 15th to 17th of August at the GT Asia Series in Sepang (Malaysia), where the season runs 7 and 8 will be held. Stefan Mücke finished third at the sixth season run together with his team colleague Frank Yu for the Team Craft Bamboo AMR in the Aston Martin GT3 in Fuji (Japan).
