Canadian racer Mikael Grenier is set to compete in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup with Emil Frey Jaguar Racing.
Stoneham, Québec native Mikael Grenier competed in the Lamborghini Super Tropheo Europe series last year where he collected the title with his teammate Loris Spinelli by claiming victory in the last race of the season at Imola.
This year, Grenier, a former open wheel competitor, will be driving a 500-horsepower, V8 engined Jaguar F-Type GT3 alongside South-African-born Adrian Zaugg and Swiss Alex Fontana in selected events.
Emil Frey Jaguar Racing, a team based in Safenwil, Switzerland, plans to compete in this year's Endurance Cup races at Monza (Italy), Silverstone (Great Britain) and Paul Ricard (France) as well as in the Sprint Cup race weekend at the Italian race track in Misano, Italy.
Grenier and his teammates’ first race in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup will take place April 20-22 at Autodromo di Monza in Italy. A collective test session will be held March 13-14 on the Paul Ricard circuit in southern France.
Last month, Grenier contested the Rolex 24 at Daytona, driving a SunEnergy1 racing Mercedes AMG GT3.
