AF Corse Team claim FIA GT win at Dijon
Matteo Bobbi and Jaime Melo steered the number 58 AF Corse Ferrari F430 to a class victory in the sixth round of the FIA GT Championship at Dijon, France, last weekend (3rd Sep). The second MOMO backed Ferrari F430 of Mika Salo and Rui Aguas also had an impressive race, finishing third.
The result sees the MOMO sponsored team extend their GT2 championship lead over their nearest rivals to over 30 points, whilst Bobbi and Melo now lead their team mates in the driver standings by just five points.
Melo commented; "The season has been great for our team. In six races, we have three wins and another two podiums, it shows the high competitivity level of AF Corse". "We have almost a half season ahead of us, it's too early to talk in terms of championship wins, but the lead is really good.
