Lanik makes GT3 return in Portugal

2009 FIA GT3 Porsche Manufactures cup winner Niki Lanik makes his return to the FIA GT3 championship in this weekend Portimao race, partnering 2007 GT3 champion Gilles Vannelet driving the Muehlner motorsport Porsche GT3 RSR.

The British based young Austrian received an attractive offer from the team this week. Lanik, who finished 4th overall in last year's second race at the Portuguese track, was top Porsche finisher in both races is relishing his return to the scenic Algarve track.

"Portimao is a fantastic place, the circuit is beautiful, great to drive and, of course we went well there last year, I'm really looking forward to driving with Gilles and I think we are both hoping to be looking for finishing on the podium this weekend"
