Filip Salaquarda has been protagonist again in the Blancpain Sprint Series 2014. After the good debut a month ago in Nogaro (F), the Czech driver took again his 458 GT3 Italia Ferrari into the points thanks to a seventh place in the Main Race that earned him six points in the second round of the championship held in Brands Hatch.

Salaquarda and his co-equiper Montermini have always been competitive in the British round of the championship and showed a performance growth that allowed them to slip into the top ten in qualifying (ninth time in 1'24.438) first and then to secure the seventh final place both in Qualifying Race and Main Race.

The Main Race has been won by Hari Proczyk and Jeroen Bleekemolen (Lamborghini FLII), who were followed by Maximilian Buhk and Maximilian Götz (Mercedes SLS AMG GT3), Sergio Jimenez and Caca Bueno (BMW Z4).

Filip Salaquarda:
"Competitiveness-wise we did quite a few steps forward compared to Nogaro, and this allowed us to make it again into the points and to get closer to the fight for the podium. We are racing against well experienced drivers and we are progressively reducing our gap to them. I believe that we can aim to even more important placings starting from the next race in Holland. The progress shown during the whole weekend proves that we still have room for improvement and we will try and get the most out of the coming weeks to work to our performance".
