It was a thrilling finale in Baku, with a near escape in the first corner for Stéphane Ortelli. The team and both drivers then drove a faultless races and won both the Baku World Challenge and the 2013 FIA GT Series title.

Laurens Vanthoor: "When the team told me over the radio that I was leading the race, I was thinking that they were making a joke. My aim was to bring the car home in one piece, as it was easy to make mistakes. Our aim was to conquer the title and we did it, we, that's Audi, WRT, Stéphane (Ortelli) and all the people supporting us. It feels so fantastic!"
