TENTH PLACE FOR MATTEO BOBBI AT NAVARRA

The Ford GT driven by Palttala-Bobbi finished the Spanish round of the FIA GT1 World Championship, held at the circuit of Navarra, in eleventh position.

Sunday had started well for Marc VDS Racing Team: the Ford GT n.41 of Bobbi-Palttala, which had started the race from the last row due to a driveshaft problem in qualifying, climbed through the field up to the twelfth position. Good signs for the championship race, the Belgian team thought.

But those expectations were only partially fulfilled during the main race: the new drivers' pairing of Marc VDS Racing Team started the race from the twelfth position on the grid and briefly occupied the eighth position, before finishing the race into points. This has been a very encouraging start for Markus Palttala and Matteo Bobbi.

Matteo Bobbi:
"The weekend started quite badly with the problem in qualifying, but we managed to recover very well and to finish into the points despite starting from the back of the qualifying race. Now we have the two final races in Brazil and Argentine, where we will have everything in place to do well".
