TINCKNELL TAKES THE GRADUATE CUP

Harry Tincknell's sixth place finish in the first of today's two Formula Renault races at Brands Hatch secured the Graduate Cup title for the 17 year-old CRS racer. Harry has had a fantastic first year in cars and can't wait to get stuck in and go for the overall title next year.

"I'm really happy to win the Graduate Cup as I have achieved the goal I set myself at the start of the year," said Harry. "Adam Christodoulou won this in 2007 and went on to win the 2008 Championship with CRS and that's exactly what I want to do now. It's good to be up there with all the second and third year drivers; it's a lot of fun and I can't wait to go for the overall title next year."

Lewis Williamson had a fantastic weekend, taking fourth place in race one and then improving to second in race two, after qualifying brilliantly in third and second place for the two races. The young Scot, like Harry, is a rookie so this is a great result for him to take into the winter as he builds up to a full championship challenge next year.

"It's awesome to take a podium finish at the last race of the year," said Lewis. "I lost a position in race one and that was really frustrating. I thought about it afterwards and decided that I was going to go for it in race two. I did and I got P2 so I'm very happy with that."

Euan Hankey took a fifth and eighth place, completing his very short but very promising season. Josh Scott had troubles in race one but swiftly put that behind him to take seventh in race two, while Mick Lyons took two 15th place finishes.
