Gabriele Rafanelli will run three Ferrari 550 Maranellos in this year's FIA GT Championship. Reigning champion Julian Bailey is in line for a drive though Lister Storm boss Laurence Pearce insists that he wants to keep him despite handing placing former TVR Tuscan driver Ian McKellar with co-champion Jamie Campbell-Walter. Pearce is planning to run a third car, with Bailey to drive it.

Rafanelli will take his ALMS Judd-powered Lola B2K/10 and the Ascari A410 to a Michelin test in Valencia, Spain, on January 22-24 to run back-to-back tests. He will decide after that which chassis to run in the European Le Mans Series, and in the 24-hours. "If we decide to stay with Lola, we will keep our existing car and modify it ourselves," he confirms. Rafanelli is reluctant to commit himself to the full ALMS, remarking that, "it depends on the level of sponsorship."

FIRST Racing, run by Fabien Giroix and Jean-Denis Deletraz, has handed its Ferrari to Prodrive for evaluation. The Swiss team was disillusioned with the Ferrari this year, failing to finish a single race and leading Giroix to claim he would rather stop racing than have another year like this one. Prodrive has refused to comment, saying only that it has a GT car for a client.
