The pressure this weekend was not on Nicky and his co-driver Thomas Jäger. In their All-Inkl.com Münnich motorsport Mercedes SLS AMG #37 they qualified 5th and drove a solid Qualifying Race, finishing 6th just behind their teammate Marc Basseng and Thomas Winkelhock. Nicky and Thomas also finished 6th in the Championship Race, finishing sixth overall in the Drivers Championship.

However the pressure was on Marc Basseng and Markus Winkelhock who had to defend their first place in the Drivers Championship and the Team Championship. Not an easy task.... But even when they were excluded from the Championship Race results they still made both titles.

Nicky Pastorelli: “This weekend was about securing both the team championship and the drivers title for my teammates Marc Basseng and Markus Winkelhock.

And we managed both of that. I think this shows that we did great teamwork and that we can be very proud of the whole team! I've been with this team from the first race in GT1 in 2010 and the team really made huge steps during this time.

Being able to finish this year by winning the world championship is just amazing! I really would like to thank Marc Basseng, Rene Muennich and all the rest of the team for these great three years.”
