German sports car pilot Stefan Mucke on start at the GT1 World at Spa-Francorchamps - "A track that I really like and the car should be optimal for it" - Aiming on points

Berlin/Spa-Francorchamps (rol/ot) Aiming to gather some points, German sports car pilot Stefan Mucke made his way off to Spa-Francorchamps at Belgium after a short trip to the Baltic Sea with his family. At Belgium the fifth event of the FIA GT World Championship is scheduled from Thursday to Saturday (29th to 31st of July) including the season runs nine and ten in the main program of the 24 hours race.

"This time our races take place on Friday and Saturday but as usual lasting one hour each. The rollercoaster track at the Ardennen is always a highlight for each race driver. I like that track very much and I think the car should be optimal for it", tells the Aston Martin works driver that is sharing the cockpit of the DBR9 for the Team Young Driver AMR (Paderborn/Copenhagen) with his Dane team colleague Christoffer Nygaard. "I am aiming to bring some points home again this time", underlines Stefan Mucke. "This will not be easy, because our DBR9 has to carry a lot of additional weight", adds the 28 year old. "Anyway I am looking forward to the races, especially because the break has been very long".

About four weeks ago the Berlin drove the fastest lap time at the Paul Ricard track at Le Castellet (France), but in the end he didn't gather any points because of a problem with the drive mechanism at the Qualifying Race and a tyre damage at the Championship Race. "I hope to get through the races in Spa without any problems this time. We should have the speed yet to drive up front", tells Stefan Mucke.
