Mooresville, N.C. Devin Jones will join forces with ALARA Racing for the upcoming Rolex 24 weekend at Daytona International Speedway in the IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. Jones will pilot the #34 Mazda MX-5 alongside lead driver Christian Szymczak in the Street Tuner (ST) class.

“Getting the chance to compete at Daytona is an unreal feeling,” Jones said. “I’m really looking forward to learning as much as I can and gaining valuable experience in my first IMSA event. I really can’t thank everyone on the ALARA Racing team enough for opportunity and we’ll work towards a strong showing this week.”

Jones’ has experience in many different forms of racing ranging from NASCAR, and circle track late model races, to open wheel and sports car events. Last season Jones was a leading rookie in the Mazda MX-5 Cup series Presented by BFGoodrich Tires.

“This time last year I was at Daytona trying to find the correct path for my career coming from NASCAR and oval-track racing. This past season I’ve learned so much getting back to road racing, and I can’t wait for 2015 and what the future holds.”

The 2015 IMSA Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season will kick off next week at Daytona with practice and qualifying for the BMW Performance 200 on Wednesday and Thursday, leading up to the first race of the year which can be seen on Fox Sports 2.
