Buffalo Grove, IL - Fall-Line Motorsports announces today the addition of Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge driver John Edwards to their 2014 CTSCC lineup. Edwards will be driving one of the team's GS BMW M3s for the full season, which kicks off with the annual Roar Before the Rolex 24 on January 3-5.

Edwards finished second in 2013 overall GS driver standings and captured two victories and four additional podiums in this standout season. Edwards brings an enormous amount of talent and expertise to the team and is a welcome addition.

He came up through the open-wheel ranks, winning the 2008 Star Mazda Championship and the 2009 Atlantic Series Championship before making the switch to sports cars in 2010. This 22-year-old Cincinnatian has been racing for over ten years, and in 2003 became the youngest licensed open-wheel driver in the U.S.

This announcement at such an early point in the off-season is a victory for both Fall-Line and Edwards heading into 2014.

John Edwards: "I've had a lot of good battles competing against Fall-Line over the past two years and I am really excited to join the team. I had my first taste driving a BMW with BMW Team RLL this year racing in the American Le Mans Series and I am looking forward to experiencing the BMW platform in the GS car. I have had some of the most fun racing experiences of my life competing in the CTSCC series and I am really excited to be able to say that I am coming back next season to compete in the series once more.

I have seen that the BMWs can win races and look forward to seeing what we can do together. Finishing second in the Championship for the past two seasons in a row has been good, but I am looking to put together that Championship winning season. Joining Fall-Line and going after the 2014 Championship are my goals and I feel confident that we can attain them together."

Michael Harvey, Fall-Line Motorsports Team Manager: "I am very excited to have John join our GS program for 2014. He has proven to be an extremely fast and tenacious competitor, so when the opportunity presented itself to have him be a part of Fall-Line we jumped at the chance to strengthen our program.

As John mentioned, we definitely have the Championship in our sights and feel that the Fall-Line BMWs will be competitive over the season. I am so proud of everyone at Fall-Line Motorsports for their continued passion and commitment and I cannot wait until we start 2014 at Daytona."
