PATRON GT3 CHALLENGE BY YOKOHAMA TEAMS TEST AT SEBRING

SEBRING, FL. January 23 The New Year is already proving to be an exciting one for the Patron GT3 Challenge by Yokohama. With seventeen confirmed entries, as well as several more interested parties, the grid is shaping up to be one of the most competitive and talented the series has ever seen. Series Manager, Mike Simons, is positive about the upcoming season. "I'm confident that this season is going to be one of the best we have ever had," said Mike. "We have a wonderfully diverse series composed of teams and drivers who possess exceptional experience and phenomenal talent. The International Motor Sports Association is honored to partner with Patron and Yokohama, as well as having the support of Porsche Motorsports North America. With these extraordinary teams, we are looking forward to a very successful season."

With the 2010 Winter Support Series Test already under way, teams and drivers are putting their cars, as well as themselves, to the test. New driver and entrant, Gary Pennington, is looking forward to the upcoming season, and he's using the test to debut his new 9972010 Porsche GT3 Cup Car. "After years of PCA racing, I am looking forward to the increased competition in the Patron GT3 Challenge by Yokohama." Pennington, with team Autometrics Motorsports, plans to take full advantage of this developmental series, utilizing the skills he cultivates this season to prepare him for a possible future in the American Le Mans Series. "This will be a learning year for me," says Pennington. "New series, new car, and many new tracks."

The 2010 Winter Support Series Test at Sebring International Raceway in Florida, began with a Promoter Test Day on January 22nd, and is being followed by Series Sanctioned Testing on the 23rd and 24th. Invited attendees include the Patron GT3 Challenge by Yokohama, the Cooper Tires Prototype Lites Championship, and the Star Mazda Championship presented by Goodyear.

The 2010 Patron GT3 Challenge by Yokohama kicks off the season at the 58th Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. The series features eight exciting events at some of the most prominent racetracks in the United States.
