Grand Prize Winner Will Attend Tonka 2004 Super Truck Racing Series Event of Their Choice

NEW ALBANY, OH (February 16, 2004) - The Super Truck Racing Association of North America (STRANA) has announced the winners of the 2003 Tonka Racing Series Sweepstakes. William Simonson of Acampo, Calif. was the Grand Prize Winner of the sweepstakes.

Simonson was randomly selected from thousands of sweepstakes entries collected at the 2003 Tonka Super Truck Celebrity Challenge events, and via on-line and mail-in entries. Simonson will receive a trip for two to the 2004 Tonka Racing Series event of his choice, including roundtrip airfare, hotel accommodations, ground transportation and spending money.

The Tonka Super Truck Racing Series is scheduled to run six events in support of the 2004 American Le Mans Series (ALMS), starting in July at Infineon Raceway in Sonama, Calif. and ending in mid-October at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, Calif.

Other venues where the Super Trucks will be running include Portland International Raceway in Portland, Oregon, Mosport International Raceway in Ontario, Canada, Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisc. and the Petit Le Mans event at Road Atlanta.

More than 500 prizes were awarded throughout the sweepstakes including Tonka Super Truck Racing Series event tickets, Tonka Series apparel and Tonka toy packages.

The Tonka 2003 Super Truck Celebrity Challenge races showcased the superstars of road racing competing in four prototype STRANA trucks for charity. Taped broadcasts of the races are currently running on ESPN2. The exhibition races were part of the 2003 ALMS event schedule and were sanctioned by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA).

Tonka signed on as title sponsor of the Celebrity Challenge in 2003, and will continue in 2004 as the title sponsor for the Tonka Super Truck Racing Series.
