Daytona Beach, FL - The No. 4 Corvette Racing entry has claimed pole honors in GTLM, courtesy of Oliver Gavin. The British sports car ace clipped AF Corse and Gianmaria Bruni by three tenths of a second to put the C7.R on point for the start of this 24 hour endurance race. This surprisingly marks Gavin's first ever TUDOR class pole.

Aston Martin filed in behind these two titans of endurance racing with Pedro Lamy getting the No. 98 up in third. The No. 24 Team RLL BMW Z4 will line up alongside. The 1:43.488 eclipsed the 2014 pole time by a full second.

"We didn' think we had the pace for pole after Roar but we had an absolutely perfect qualifying session," said Gavin. "Everything just fell into place. I got a toe from Jan (Magnussen) and without it, we wouldn't have been on pole. It was a good bit of teamwork."
