Filipe Albuquerque currently leads the 55th Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona by 3sec but has been separated from his Action Express Racing Cadillac teammate Mike Conway, by a charging Jordan Taylor. One lap down now is Bruno Senna in the #22 ESM Nissan, ahead of Marc Goossens in the Multimatic Riley of VisitFloridaRacing, and the second ESM Nissan of Pipo Derani.
GT Le Mans
Believe it or not, there was an eight-car battle for the lead in this class, as Sebastien Bourdais (Ford GT) headed Toni Vilander (Ferrari), Scott Dixon (Ford), Patrick Pilet and Kevin Estre (Porsches), Andy Priaulx (Ford), Augusto Farfus (BMW), and Mike Rockenfeller (Corvette), with all of the gaps under 3sec.
However, a Bourdais pitstop at the top of the hour, left Vilander in front, and traffic has also allowed Dixon to pull 5sec clear of Pilet.
GT Daytona
The #29 Audi R8 of Land Motorsport is back in front, with Connor De Phillippi doing a stunning job in the wet, a full 24sec ahead of Robin Liddell in the Stevenson Motorsport Audi R8. Liddell’s second place is coming under increasing threat from Jeroen Bleekemolen in the Riley Motorsports Mercedes AMG GT3, with Christian Engelhart fourth in the Grasser Lamborghini Huracan.
In Prototype Challenge, Kyle Masson spun away half of Performance Tech's four-lap lead, prompting the caution. However, Chapman Ducote has once more slipped three laps down in the BAR1 machine.
