The Canadian race team will make its IMSA debut at the inaugural race of the 2107 Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge in Daytona Beach, Florida, January 26-27.

Successful businessman Eric Kerub leads Motorsports In Action (MIA), and driver line-up includes fellow countryman Jesse Lazare and Chris Green behind the wheels of two of the very first production McLaren 570S GT4 cars.

The experienced Carl Hermez will act as crew chief and two-time Rolex 24 Hour Daytona winner, veteran road racer Jean-François Dumoulin will lend his formidable racing experience throughout the season, advising and supporting the team in all facets of its championship effort.

The 19-year old Jesse Lazare won the title of the 2016 IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge USA with 12 wins and 14 podiums in 16 races. Chris Green, now aged 32, has been racing for nearly two decades, claiming  five championships, 16 race wins, 40 podiums, as well as the 2015 IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Challenge Canada championship.

“I truly believe I have the best driving combo in the field,” Eric Kerub declared. “We have two top pro drivers, with excellent pedigrees. They’ve gotten to the top in whatever they’ve driven. I don’t have any delusions of grandeur. I understand there are a lot of things we have to learn and navigate. But this isn’t a building year. We’re here to win.”

MIA’s test facility and 20,000-sq./ft. professional race shop is located at the Autodrome Saint-Eustache motor sport facility in Saint-Eustache, Québec, in the suburbs of Montréal.
