Rolex 24 hits 15th hour and it's Taylor still in control
This race is far from over with close battles for the lead in every class, sans PC.

Daytona Beach, Fla - The remaining field races out of the darkness and towards sunrise, which is just two hours away now. Who survived the night? Certainly not everyone...
ESM trying to hang on
The tenth full-course caution was called when the lone remaining ESM entry stopped on track, but quickly got back going. That same car was the reason for the eleventh caution, tearing the nose off upon impacting barriers in the infield.
At the same time as ESM's contact, the GTLM class leading No. 4 Corvette abruptly slowed with a flat right rear tire. The car has worked its way back into third place. On the following restart, John Pew took the blistering fast Michael Shank Racing Ligier a little too hot into the international horseshoe, contacting the barriers and then limping back to pit lane. The No. 60 is now four laps down in sixth.
Starworks loses both cars
These three hours were not kind to Starworks. Both their No. 8 PC and No. 7 prototype retired from the race. They put a new alternator in the PC but their issues continued and eventually suffered a catastrophic engine failure. The No. 7 brought out the twelfth caution, also for a blown motor.
The No. 911 Porsche returned to the race and during this time, a video emerged of the accident, which you can watch HERE. We also updated our retirement list to include Starworks, the Risi Ferrari, and a couple others, which can be seen HERE.
