Sebring 12h: Hr 10 – Taylors back in charge but AXR stays close

Filipe Albuquerque was held up by the #33 GTD-class Mercedes in the 10th hour, and that cost him enough momentum to cede the lead to Jordan Taylor.

Prototype

Since then, the pair have each stopped – under a yellow for a broken-down Lamborghini – but the Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac was able to retain its edge. However, following the restart, Albuquerque was getting the better breaks in traffic and ended the hour under 3sec in arrears.

Dane Cameron who took over the #31 in the yellow pitstops, is two laps down, with Chris Miller still fourth in the JDC/Miller Oreca.

In Prototype Challenge, Patricio O’Ward remains two laps in front of Sean Rayhall.

GT Le Mans

The yellow-flag pistops saw Ganassi choose to keep all three of its Ford GTs on track, which put them at the front of the field… but possibly only temporarily.

By the end of the hour,  Antonio Garcia had rocketed through and dispensed with all but one of them, the #66 car driven by Joey Hand. Behind the ’Vette lay Scott Dixon in the #67 and Olivier Pla in the #68.

The latter was coming under increasing pressure from Frederic Makowiecki’s Porsche and James Calado’s Ferrari 488.

GT Daytona

Jeroen Bleekemolen has taken over from where Mario Farnbacher left off in the #33 Riley Motorsports Mercedes, keeping control at the front following the restart in the sort of composed manner he used to display in the Riley Dodge Vipers.

Balzan has fallen away from the Mercedes but retained second, with Madison Snow third in the #48 Paul Miller Racing Lamborghini.

Meanwhile, Mirko Bortolotti drove his Grasser Lamborghini back up to fourth, with Connor De Phillippi fifth in the Land Motorsport Audi.
