In the first race, Prashant and Kannan K were indulged in a fierce battle for the race win, which ended in acrimonious circumstances.

The two riders made contact at turn 1 on the final lap, with Kannan falling off the bike in the incident.

While he was able to get back on his RTR 200, Prashant had disappeared into the distance by then, taking the victory by a margin of 1.206s.

Rahil Peerzade finished second on road but was classified fifth after taking into account a 15-second penalty for a jump start.

This promoted Aravind Ganesh R and Shankar onto the podium, ahead of Arun Muthukrishnan and the aforementioned Kannan.

Naveej Raj was classified seventh ahead of Ashok George, Anand Kumar and Praveen Kumar, the latter securing the final point with 10th.

Vivek Pillai was among several riders who crashed out of the race, the polesitter losing his bike early on while leading the race.
