Chennai II Honda CBR 250: Kumar sees off Krishnan to secure two wins
Mathana Kumar was able to keep Hari Krishnan behind in both the Honda CBR 250 races in the one-make championship's Round 3, at Madras Motor Race Track.

Kumar came on top in Honda CBR 250 category’s Race 1 on Saturday having started on pole, the Trichy rider was able to keep Krishnan behind to win.
The ARRC rider had to settle for second, but was comfortably ahead of third-placed Ananth Raj, who in turn fended off Kishoar VS by mere 0.319s.
Ami Van Poederooijen kept fifth place from Rajiv Sethu with race winner Abhishek V ending seventh.
Amit Richard Topno, Mithum Kumar and Amarnath Menon completed the top 10.
In the Novice category, Soorya PM was victorious over charging Anish Shetty by just 0.039s with Mahesh Murali ending third.
Kumar goes for double
Things heated up in Race 2 of the Open category with Kumar making it two wins for the Trichy rider beating Krishnan again, this time the margin being a mere 0.242s.
The top two were in a league of their own, with Sethu over nine seconds away completing the rostrum, fending off Raj by 0.021s.
Poederooijen was fifth again, while Menon and S Sivanesan battling for sixth, the former hanging on after six laps.
Topno ended eighth ahead of Sanjeeb Mhatre and Ahbishek, who was penalised for a jump start and thus dropping to down to 10th.
The CBR 150 category saw Shetty win the battle keeping Soorya at bay, with Piyush Ranjan claiming the final podium spot.
