Raghul Rangasamy, who had taken the lead after passing pole-sitter Sandeep Kumar in the beginning, spun at turn two on lap seven, which dropped him down to 10th place.

Tharani, who had already overtaken Kumar and Vikash Anand on track, inherited the lead as a result, securing his second victory of the weekend.

Meanwhile, Kumar held on to second place, with Anindith Reddy taking the final spot on the podium.

Arjun Narendran enjoyed a far better outing, finishing in fourth place. Anand, who also had an off earlier in the race, was fifth.

Further back, Tejas Ram was classified sixth, ahead of Rangasamy, who recovered enough to finish seventh.

Lee Keshav finished down the order in eighth place after serving a drive-through penalty for making a jump start.

Chetan Korada and Brad Dias completed the top 10.

Like Rangasamy and Anand, Goutham Parekh was another top-tier driver to make a crucial mistake; the Chennai-born driver finishing a disappointing 12th after running as high as fourth place.

Earlier in the race, Jai Sampath brought out the safety car for an unclear incident.
