In a race of attrition where half of the field was wiped out by crashes, Yash Aradhya initially led the field from pole position before spinning on his own and dropping out of contention.

Nayan Chatterjee subsequently took the lead only to go off the the track, allowing Keith Desouza to move up to first position.

Desouza’s stint at the front of the field also didn’t last for too long as he suffered a huge crash in the final sector in an accident possibly involving Raghul Rangasamy.

This prompted a safety car, which duly picked up new race leader Parekh, who had only started fourth on the grid but driven cleanly unlike the rest of the field.

When the race resumed, Parekh held on to the lead, while Chaterjee suffered another off and slipped behind Sandeep Sharma.

Ashwin Datta also tried to take advantage of Chatterjee’s lost momntum but ended up tagging the Mumbai-based racer, causing both drivers to retire and the race to be red flagged.

A two lap sprint followed, with Parekh cruising to the chequered flag to score his first victory of the season. Kumar finished second, while Nabil Hussain completed the podium spots.

Aradhya ended up fourth ahead of Karminder Singh, while Rangasamy was last of the classified finishers in sixth.
