The winner's race time was 13m51.925s, while Chetan Korada finished second in 13m52.904s.

Sandeep Kumar finished third and Raghul Rangasamy finished fourth.

This race is part of the third round of the MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Racing Championship.

Rangasamy shot into the lead at the start from pole position man Reddy and maintained a two-second lead.

Korada was third, another seven tenths behind the leader.

Rangasamy was a picture of confidence as he kept a healthy distance. In fact, he had even had begun to pull away from second-placed Reddy.

The Hyderabad-based driver lost two places at the start and was behind Rangasamy and Korada. However, he got past Korada in the first lap and began to attack Rangasamy.

But after the completion of the second lap, Rangasamy was handed a drive through penalty for a jump start. This gave Reddy the lead, with Korada second and Sandeep Kumar third. However, Rangasamy fought back later.

While Reddy and Korada were slightly away from the rest of the cars, there was just a one-second gap between the first two cars.

Korada was almost four seconds behind the leader. By the last lap, Korada had reduced the distance to just less than a second and won the race.

Championship leader Reddy said: "It was a pretty tough race but it all worked out.

"I had a bad start, lost two places and was behind Chetan and Raghul. But Chetan made a mistake and that allowed me to go through.

"Chetan caught up with me in the middle of the race. However, I pushed a bit and was able to make it," he added.
