The rain was relentless during the second race of the weekend as drivers battled through the tricky conditions at the Kari Motor Speedway to finish the race without any major incident.
Tharani starting on the front row alongside Arjun Narendran got a better start as he moved ahead of the reverse grid pole sitter Narendran going into the first corner.
Behind them race one winner was battling hard with Tejas Ram for third; the two moved back and forth three times but ultimately it was Parekh who got the better of Ram and move himself to third.
There was no stopping Parekh there, with two laps remaining, he swept past Narendran for second chasing Tharani for the second win of the weekend.
But Tharani held his nerve to take the win while Parekh finished only 0.155 seconds behind the leader. Narendran completed the top three while Ram settled for fourth.
The rest of the filed were scattered as Anshul Shah rounded off the top five. In sixth came Anindith Reddy while British driver Hamish Robinson, now living in Bangalore had to content with seventh.
The top 10 was rounded off by Chetan Korada at eighth, Niranjan Todkari ninth and actor/racer Jai Sampth tenth.
The sole driver to retire was Aayush Saini. Tharani leads the championship with 120 points as Parekh sits one point behind with 119 and Narendran in third with 103 points.
