Andersen Walko Racing Is Already Preparing for 2006
FAIRFIELD, N.J., Aug. 23 - While its four team drivers are all contending for the 2005 Star Mazda national championship, Andersen Walko Racing is already preparing for 2006 by reviewing possible driver candidates for next season.
"We're very pleased with how far we've come as a team since joining the pro series in June of 2004," said Dan Andersen, president and managing director of the team. "Our total focus and goal is to win more races as well as the championship, and we intend to continue in 2006 as the dominant team in the series by retaining another group of talented young guns."
The 2006 schedule is expected to be released in September. Andersen Walko Racing has already assembled another extensive winter testing program to enable it to prepare for the traditional season opener at Sebring, Fla. in March. The team's off-season testing starts in November, and it will conduct at least two days of testing a month throughout the winter at tracks such as Sebring, Virginia International Raceway, Barber (Ala.) Motorsports Park and Road Atlanta.
AWR is campaigning Robbie Pecorari, Graham Rahal, Pablo Donoso and Jonathan Klein in the Star Mazda series this year. The team's offices are in Fairfield, N.J. and its shop is located in North Versailles, Pa., near Pittsburgh. Its Web site is located at andersenwalko.com.
