SENSKE FINISHES SIXTH IN STAR MAZDA SEASON-OPENER AT SEBRING

Lynx Racing driver Sara Senske, after qualifying 7th for the season-opening Star Mazda support race at the Superflow 12 Hours of Sebring, survived a crash-filled Friday afternoon race to finish sixth.

"It was a real 'yee-ha' kind of race with a bunch of cars getting together in the first turn of the first lap," says Senske. "It seems like I spent most of my time dodging spinning race cars. I even had to drive off-course into the grass to avoid one incident; it was like Baja 2000. But I survived, and I learned a lot, so I rate the race as a success and I'm looking forward to the next one."

The next event on Senske's 14-race Star Mazda schedule is at the Buttonwillow Raceway, outside of Bakersfield, California, on April 24.
