Weiron Tan set to join Pelfrey
Malaysian hotshoe Weiron Tan will be announced as Aaron Telitz’s teammate in Team Pelfrey’s Pro Mazda line-up on Tuesday.

Last year, Tan won four races on his way to fourth in the Pro Mazda championship, driving for Andretti Autosport.
The former Caterham F1 development driver, who also scored seven pole positions, showed blistering pace but his final championship position reflected five finishes outside the top 10.
Pelfrey won last year’s Pro Mazda championship with Santiago Urrutia, who has moved on to Indy Lights with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports.
Neither Tan nor Pelfrey personnel were available for comment.
In 2016, Pelfrey will become an Indy Lights team, following its acquisition of 8Star Motorsport which scored two wins last year with Sean Rayhall, despite his part-time schedule.
The driver lineup is set to be revealed in the next seven days, although it’s understood that both drivers have been podium finishers on the Mazda Road To Indy. That would rule out European Formula 3 champion Felix Rosenqvist, who initially tested with Pelfrey, but set the Lights pace at Homestead’s January test driving for Belardi Auto Racing.
