</pre> Reynard Motorsport celebrated a podium sweep with three different Reynard teams taking the top three positions at the end of the 150 lap race at Miami Homestead Speedway, a one and a quarter mile oval track venue for the first race of the 2000 FedEx Championship Series.
Barry Ward, Chief Designer, Reynard Motorsport:
"This season opener provided plenty of great racing. I'm delighted to see Max Papis take his first win and for Roberto Moreno to come so close to victory in his return to full-time racing. It's good to see the Reynard chassis out in front, both at the start of the race and at the finish and we'll work hard to maintain this quality of performance throughout the year."
John Thompson, Technical Director, Reynard Motorsport:
"This was a good clean race with plenty of exciting action. Max and Team Rahal did a great job, with excellent pit stops. It was good to see Moreno on the podium and Tracy too - all three representing different Reynard customers. Reynard has kept up its winning performance, bringing our total number of Champ Car wins to 69 and total pole positions to 75 - a remarkable tally in only six years of competition. "
