Sebastien Bourdais, No. 1 McDonald's Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone: "We were able to run more laps today in the McDonald's car and do pit stop practice and are ready to get the season started. Our main competitors will be RuSport and Forsythe again and Oriol could be strong. Not a lot more to say until we get to Long Beach and see how we stack up against the rest of the field. "
Bruno Junqueira, No. 2 Newman/Haas Racing Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone: "We made some long runs today and again set consistent lap times. I'm not really focusing on the championship this season like I have past years. I am focusing on having fun and driving as good as I can and the rest will take care of itself. I have never looked forward to the start of a season as long as I have looked forward to this one. I'm ready to get started!"
ON THE SCHEDULE: The 2006 season-opening Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach will take place next weekend, April 7-9.
