INDIANAPOLIS (May 8, 2009) - Conquest Racing completed their first week of practice today at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during Fast Friday. The team has progressed well over the course of the week in preparation for this weekend's first and second day's of qualifying for the 2009 Indianapolis 500. Alex Tagliani, #34 Rexall Edmonton Indy
"The team did a great job today. I'm very happy with the
progress we made throughout the day. We finished with a good lap and we
improved the car tremendously on the grip level so we could run a
different aero package. The car is really consistent. My engineers
Brandon (Fry) and Mike (Colliver) did a great job. It wasn't just a
good preparation for qualifying but a lot of what we did will also serve
us for the race."
Eric Bachelart, Team Owner
"We had a good day today. We've made very good progress over
the last few days and Alex is quite happy with the car. We still have to
find a little bit more speed in order to qualify this weekend but we are
getting there. The team has done an excellent job and we'll
continue to work on it until we go out for our qualifying attempt this
weekend."
