DREYER & REINBOLD RACING CONTINUES PROGRESS IN PRACTICE FOR THE INDIANAPOLIS 500

Indianapolis, IN (May 21, 2010) - Dreyer & Reinbold Racing drivers, Mike Conway (No. 24 Dad's Root Beer), Justin Wilson (No. 22 Z-Line Designs), Tomas Scheckter (No. 23 Mona Vie), and Ana Beatriz (No. 25 Ipiranga) maintained their progress they have built over the last couple of days. Luckily, the rain stayed away long enough to enable all four drivers to get ample track time in.

The goal for today was to get the cars dialed in for qualifying tomorrow. The quartet worked on race set-up, but the majority of the day was concentrated on getting the Dreyer & Reinbold Racing machines quick for Pole day.

Conway, in the No. 24 Dad's Root Beer car, was the fastest of the four with a speed of 225.060 miles per hour. He logged a total of 54 laps, putting him 14th overall. Wilson, in the No. 22 Z-Line Designs car, worked diligently to get his car fast for tomorrow. The Brit completed 36 laps recording a top speed of 224.517 mph, making him 21st quickest for the session.

Scheckter in the No. 23 Mona Vie chassis, logged 19 laps with a best of 224.176 mph, which put him in 27th position. Rookie Beatriz, in the No. 25 Ipiranga machine, continued to work on race set-up as she clocked a 222.225 mph and was 36th overall. The Brazilian driver completed 59 laps today.

Dreyer & Reinbold Racing will be on track tomorrow for qualifying for the 94th running of the Indianapolis 500. Qualifying will be broadcast live on VERSUS at 11 am ET. For more updates on the team, please visit www.dreyerreinboldracing.com.

What they have to say about practice for the Indianapolis 500:

Justin Wilson, No. 22 Z-Line Designs: "It's been a tough day in between the rain delays and working on our qualifying set-up for the Z-Line Designs car today. It seems like every change we make we loose speed from our baseline we set two days ago. The crew is working hard at solving the problem and hopefully we can have our set-up sorted our for Pole-day qualifying."

Tomas Scheckter, No.23 Mona Vie: "The session went alright for us. We just worked on qualifying stuff today. We are looking for a little bit more speed, but we think the car is coming to us, so hopefully we will peak at the right time and that is tomorrow."

Mike Conway, No. 24 Dad's Root Beer: "Today we ran a lot of race trim stuff and just got the car ready for the race, making sure that we have the car nice and comfortable. So far it looks pretty good and we got some good speed out of the car and we can run pretty close to the cars in front of us and that's the main thing. We have been keeping the car consistent as well, a long run is important and we have been working hard on that. This afternoon we worked on more qualifying runs too and fingers crossed we will have some good speed in the car. We need to do the same thing for qualifying tomorrow. We will just put the car on track and make sure the speed is there again and then line up and do a good time and hopefully we will be up there."

Ana Beatriz, No. 25 Ipiranga: "Today the weather forecast was kind of wrong. It was supposed to rain all day and I'm very happy that it wasn't right because we were able to do some laps. In the first session we worked on the race set-up and in the afternoon we worked on qualifying to see what it was like. It was another productive day and I'm very happy about it. Tomorrow is another big day and we are getting ready for it."
