Herta to Start 18th at Chicagoland in XM Satellite Radio Car

JOLIET, Ill. (Sept. 9, 2006) - Bryan Herta, driver of the #7 XM Satellite Radio car, will start from the 18th position for Sunday's Peak Antifreeze Indy 300 from Chicagoland Speedway. Herta posted a best-lap speed of 210.679 miles per hour (25.9732 seconds) during his qualifying attempt. The final IndyCar Series event of the 2006 season will be broadcast live by ABC Sports beginning at 1:30 p.m. (EDT). The entire IndyCar Series schedule is also carried live on XM Satellite Radio channel 145, the exclusive home of the IndyCar Series.

Bryan Herta, #7 XM Satellite Radio Dallara/Honda/Firestone: "Prior to qualifying, the XM Satellite Radio team had to make a scheduled engine change. We were out of miles, so we were only able to make a one-lap attempt during the qualifying session and that's the same situation Tony (Kanaan) was in. Our first lap was an installation lap. The track was fine. It was obviously a lot cooler than when we ran today."
